Environmental Mobile Labs and Direct Push Sampling for Soil Gas Surveys.

H&P Mobile GeoChemistry, Inc. is a nationally recognized environmental laboratory specializing in soil gas surveys using Gas Chromatography (GC) and GC/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) MASSLAB® techniques. Our soil gas surveys program analyzes Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) and fuel hydrocarbons in support of vapor intrusion site assessment, remediation for upward vapor intrusion, real estate transfer, groundwater protection, landfill gases and other environmental areas of concern.
We routinely follow the soil gas surveys protocols of the U.S.E.P.A, California Region 9, California Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC), Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board (LARWQCB), San Diego (SAM) Guidelines and many others utilizing EPA Method 8260B and EPA Method TO-15.
H&P Mobile GeoChemistry, Inc. offers state-of-the-art active, passive, and flux chamber soil gas surveys using EPA endorsed methods. H&P Mobile GeoChemistry has completed more than 100,000 soil vapor locations at a variety of industrial and military sites across the United States and the world.

Our field chemists are expert at the analysis of fuel hydrocarbons as gasoline, diesel, oil, mineral spirits, bunker fuel, jet fuel etc. and the individual compounds of concern. Specific target compounds for analysis include benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes, fuel aromatics, fuel oxygenates (MTBE, ETBE, TAME, TBA, DIPE) and chlorinated solvents (PCE, TCE and their breakdown products such as vinyl chloride, 1,1-DCE and others). Besides being expert chemists, geologists or environmental scientists, our field staff members are always available as consultants on every project that we perform. They are knowledgeable in their special field of soil gas surveys and are on site not just to produce numbers but to assist the project managers in any way that they can.
In order to acheive the success that we have enjoyed in the realm of soil gas surveys and to assist our analytical field staff, we have equipped the chemists in our mobile and fixed based laboratories with state-of-the-art instrumentation, in many cases specifically designed and modified by our technical staff to achieve low detection limits while maintaining the highest quality data for our soil gas surveys. Whereas many mobile lab companies utilize older lower priced analytical instrumentation, H&P Mobile Geochemistry, Inc. prides itself in keeping our instrumentation current, using the same quality as found in the finest fixed base facilities.
Our staff also includes sampling technicians, trained and highly experienced in the soil gas surveys collection protocols of the various agencies. soil gas monitoring tubes, purge volume tests, leak check compounds and duplicate samples are all part of the service out technicians provide to our clients for accurate soil gas surveys. You will find our technicians also to be valuable consultants to your soil gas projects. Our field staff is experienced at collecting samples of soil gas using a wide variety of containers from Tedlar bags to minicans to full six liter Summa Canisters. The passivated canisters, having a longer holding time, can then be transported to our mobile laboratory on the client site or farther to our in-house laboratories for further analysis.
