Environmental Mobile Labs for Sampling and Analysis of Soil, Water and Soil Gas.
H&P Mobile GeoChemistry, Inc. is a leader in the field of environmental sampling and mobile labs analysis. With a fleet of ten environmental mobile labs and five direct push sampling probe trucks, H&P operates one of the largest fleets of EPA and state certified mobile labs and fixed base labs in the country. H&P has been successfully performing on site sampling and analysis in Southern California and the Southwestern United States for over sixteen years.
H&P Mobile GeoChemistry, Inc. is nationally recognized for its mobile labs specializing in the analysis of soil, water and soil gas surveys using Gas Chromatography(GC) and GC/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) MASSLAB® techniques. Our mobile labs support soil gas survey programs and perform on site analysises of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) and fuel hydrocarbons in support of upward vapor intrusion, site assessment, remediation for upward vapor intrusion, real estate transfer, groundwater protection, landfill gases and other environmental areas of concern.
Our staff is lead by two senior scientists, Dr. James Picker and Dr. Blayne Hartman who pioneered the use of mobile labs for environmental projects and whose combined experience totals over 60 years. Their areas of expertise range from analytical chemistry and mass spectrometry to soil science and hydrology. The combination of geology and chemical analysis backgrounds is a natural for the solution of environmental problems. Their expertise and consultation is available to all our clients and is a temendous resource to complement the mobile labs and direct push sampling services.

Environmental Mobile labs Analysis of VOCs by GC and GC/MS
Whether accepted at our new 12,500 sq. ft. environmental laboratory facilities in Carlsbad, CA or on-site in the field environmental mobile labs, our staff is always ready to tackle any environmental analysis problem from the most routine chemical analysis to complicated research efforts. Our fixed base and mobile labs easily accept and support all forms of environmental analytical sampling containers for soil, water and soil gas. We can deliver all forms of environmental sampling containiers including VOA bottles, 4oz. jars, Tedlar®bags all the way to minicans and full sized Summa® cannisters. Low ppbv detection limits for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are easily reached by our on site mobile labs using field EPA Method TO-15 methodology specifically designed for use in the mobile labs.
More routinely our environmental mobile labs are used on-site for immediate turnaround EPA 8260B Analysis. All the mobile labs are also equipped to perform EPA Method 5035 for soils when the job so specifies. We also offer certified clean minicans, which have been pre-analyzed prior to shipping to fulfill protocols requiring the highest level of environmental analysis Quality Control. Our EPA Method TO-15 (As well as in-house EPA Method 8260B) analysis is certified and accredited under the National Environmental Lab Accreditation Program (NELAP) from the State of New York. We also have certification from the States of New Jersey, Nevada and Louisiana for the EPA Method TO-15 analysis. For more information and a comparison of the relative strengths and weaknesses of the two methods contact us or view the various white papers on this website. On-Site EPA Method TO-15 Flyer

Environmental Mobile Labs for Soil Vapor Survey
H&P Mobile GeoChemistry, Inc. is nationally known as a leader in environmental mobile labs performing soil gas surveys. Using GC and GC/MS MASSLAB® techniques H&P performs analysis of VOCs and fuels in soil gas, supporting upward vapor risk assessment, site assessment and remediation for upward vapor intrusion, real estate transfer, groundwater protection, landfill gases and other environmental areas of concern. We routinely follow the protocols of the U.S.E.P.A, California Region 9, California Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC), Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board (LARWQCB), San Diego (SAM) Guidelines and many others utilizing EPA Method 8260B and EPA Method TO-15.
In addition to our on site environmental mobile labs work, we also accept samples from all areas of the country in support of projects utilizing both active and passive soil vapor survey. Owing to holding time requirements these samples are expedited and the analysis completed quickly to ensure sample integrity.
H&P's Laboratory Capabilities
