Mobile Lab Chemist

H&P is always on the lookout for talented environmental scientists for the position of Mobile Lab Chemist. As a mobile lab GC/MS Chemist you will operate and maintain your own mobile laboratory, prepare and analyze environmental samples according to EPA and other regulatory methodology in compliance with Quality Assurance programs and SOP's, validate and review data for accuracy, maintain and troubleshoot GC/MS. The mobile lab operator will travel to client sites three or four days per week to perform sample analysis. The position involves independent operation of analytical instruments and individuals must possess a high degree of self sufficiency as they must be able to work in the field unsupervised for extended periods.

A bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science or Engineering is required with at least a years experience operating environmental GC/MS (preferably Agilent Chemstation). A working knowledge of EPA Method 8260B, LUFT, other EPA Methods. Experience with LIMS system also a plus. Salary commensurate with experience.

Environmental Direct Push (Geoprobe) Rig Operators and Assistants

 

H&P Mobile GeoChemistry, Inc. is an industry-leading environmental company that is looking for Environmental Direct Push (Geoprobe) Rig operators, drillers and assistants to work out of San Diego and LA County. Primary job responsibilities include collecting soil, groundwater, and soil vapor samples for environmental field analysis. The job requires travel to job locations within Southern CA. Applicants must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training is preferred, but not necessary at the time of application (training is available). The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience working with mechanical/construction equipment and must enjoy a fast-paced, challenging work environment. A High School degree is the minimum requirement. Hourly wage will be based on experience and qualifications.
